As society quickly moves toward the singularity, in order to more effectively solve human problems, a linguistic understanding of how to create a better future built upon old time universal values of love and empathy is increasingly becoming more important because social order is being challenged

Deepak Chopra provides a facinating discussion about how linguistics contributes to perception which ultimately creates reality. The process of achieving synchronicity is about creating peace and good will on earth. Is peace and good will a desireable outcome?

A powerful linguistic term in an equation to produce greater peace and good will is the concept of coexistance. As society quickly moves toward the singularity, in order to more effectively solve human problems, a linguistic understanding of how to create a better future built upon old time universal values of love and empathy is increasingly becoming more important because social order is being challenged.

President Donald Trump recognizes a need to create a better future built upon old time universal values of love and empathy within a pluralistic culture despite his effort to achieve continuity of values may not be politically correct among the masses. All human being share basic fundamental values so therefore during an age social order is being challenged than continuity of values increasingly important as we approach the singularity.

The problem with simply being as a way to achieve happiness is that simply being does not pay very much. People everywhere are working hard to maintain the upperhand by "doing" therefore every syllable and word can be taken out of context and perceptually distorted to create more war, destruction, and unhappiness.

One reason people argue against the death penalty because those who do "evil" are victims of both genetics and environmental deficits. 

Perhaps, people labeled as evil need to be reassured that God has the power and authority to ameliorate intraphysic conflicts in such a way as righteousness will prevail.

Some people labeled as evil may be concerned about evil that may arise from governoring from the middle. Evil that may arise from governoring from the middle is a dilemma the universe has been trying to resolve since the beginning of time, and ultimately only God alone can solve.

It has been my experience as a writer that spell checking applications learn from mistakes instead of providing correct spelling of words. A spell checking application that acquires misspelled words from mistakes will gradually become a dysfunctional tool.

Today, bots are ineffective at interpersonal relationships necessary for interviewing sources. Today, credible sources are not going to provide insider information or spill their guts to a bot.

In order to be effective at culling a network of reliable interview sources futuristic SuperIntelligent AI will have to be perceptually viewed as familiar commonplace entities generally accepted by society as part of normal landscape. SuperIntelligent AI will have to become ubiquitous in society in order to fully function on par with human journalist counterparts.

The year 2030 is only 12 years away. Twelve years is relatively both a long time and a short time simultaneously. Logically, SuperIntelligent AI arising from cognitive computing will be faster at (1) gathering facts and (2) processing information necessary to write a story.

Logically, futuristic SuperIntelligent AI may be capable of providing factual unbiased reporting. Is unbiased reporting possible?

Who will have access to AI augmented journalism tools? Communication is a major component of public relations and sales. Salesmanship is vital to success in nearly all occupations?

In the United States of America people of every race, creed gender, and ethnic origin make a good living in journalism related occupations. One can easily find television, radio, and print media outlets addressing various ethnicities.

What is the difference? What is the difference between any country unhappy with public policy within United States of America and deciding to cut off mutually beneficial business ties as a method to influence public policy?

Logically, two major goals should prevail in terms of foreign policy:

(1) steady economic growth that continue to provide opportunities for citizens in United States of America to maintain United States of America as the land of opportunity.

(2) establishing mutually beneficial business partnerships in order to open up new financial markets without compromising values we cherish and hold dear within United States of America.

Foreign policy decsions are dependent upon values we uphold as citizens in the United States of America. According to the Wall Street Journal article, Protecting Against AI’s Existential Threat, the secret to ameliorate existential threat of Open AI is to design open AI to act in mankind's interest.

In a pluralistic society how can we protect against an existential threat from futuristic superintelligent AI when we cannot agree upon a set of basic fundamental values among ourselves ? In recent years, political division within the United States of America has increased because of an accelerating rate of scientific and technological returns has up ended the ante in game of asserting one set of values above another set of values. Logically, mutual cooperation is a win - win scenerio.

Authoritarian governments maximize value of life of citizens by not allowing citizens to think for themselves, but instead by thinking for citizens. Meditation is cessation of cognition as a method to see life more clearly. Fake news is designed to influence how people "think".

Paradoxically, The hypothetical construct of love becomes a geopolitical issue that can potentially translate into socialist systems of government counterproductive to freedom and democracy.

Although the postulation consciousness arises out of specific computations may be right, the belief that an understanding of computational terms underlying conscious and unconsciousness will enable coding consciousness is a fallacious misunderstanding of gestalt nature of consciousness that may culminate in a catastrophe as depicted in Hollywood Terminator movies.

A loan is made to advance the cause of the lender. Likewise, a loan is secured by the borrower to advance cause of borrower. An expert in international business would not borrow unless motivated by an influx of capital that can potentially add greater value thus generating revenue.

Experts in international business should have access to supercomputers augmented by artificial Intelligence so that feasibility studies can be conducted to determine profitability formulas applied to contractual obligations.

The economic benefits of Space colonization is in the interest of mankind. Space exploration is a driver of scientific discovery and innovation. Innovation creates efficiency. Efficiency allows economic systems to do more with less, including less energy input and labor.

Economic Systems Established by Human Beings should Incorporate Values Regulating Disruption in Order to Transcend an Evolutionary Process of Survival of the Fittest because We are more than Machines

The following value added critique is written to explore issues presented in the Ted-Ed video entitled, How Long will Human Impacts Last.  Although the critique presented here is critical in tone, the critque does not dismiss or deny validity of concepts within the Ted-Ed video, How Long will Human Impacts Last. The Ted-Ed video, How Long will Human Impacts Last, raises legitimate concerns that should be seriously considered.

My value added insights about appreciation for all that has gone before serves to expand and add a fuller depth of meaning in order that mankind may overcome and achieve triumphant victory over problems we face. My value added insights about appreciation for all that has gone before in no way negate or deny real problems exist. Future generations will likely look back to decry and bemoan problems arising from todays technologies. We don't live in a perfect world. Despite enviromental problems, people have worked very hard to make life better for todays generation, therefore to discount their contributions is disingenuous. In my freelance article entitled,

We can do without nuclear bombs. Life before the 1950s was extremely hard. Snotty nose pampered upperly mobile millennials with convenient on demand immediate access to packaged goods have no clue as how hard life was back then.

The life expectancy was very short because in an agriculture society without farm machines people actually had to work hard to eat. Mass production of goods conveniently brought (1) prepackaged beverages and food products to feed the appetites of instant self gratification, (2) lowered manufacturing cost to make bells and whistles of modern civilization more affordable for the masses. So maybe a little gratitude and appreciation of convenience of modern life is in order.

Youngsters don't know how to grow crops or nurture a beautiful animal like a horse. They jump in their hotrod automobile to peddle drugs after crawling out of bed at noon.

A lot of whipper snappers with a soft easy jobs in political think tanks spread discontent working with complex haughty ideas. In my view, these people are not qualified to disrupt anything no matter how smart they may be.

Euphoric hope and optimism of unlimited growth and opportunity spurred by the digital revolution exploding in the early 1990s was immediately challenged by realistic practical economic concerns. Realistic practical economic concerns leading toward the dot.com bubble stymied the digital revolution.

The Dot.com bubble is a truly facinating epoch in human history that provides insights and revelations about human behavior. An understanding of historical implications of the dot.com bubble may be helpful to moving forward during an era of accelerating scientific and technological returns that the 21st century will bring.

A major consequence of excessive competition within markets is price deflation. As I wrote in my freelance article entitled, Steady as She Goes: Navigating Towards the Future at Synergy Global Summit New York 2017, an introduction of a huge number of start-ups into the market can potentially have a negative economic impact of reducing financial resources necessary for bigger more specialized corporations to build superior quality products. 

Price deflation as a consequence of introduction of to many start ups offering dubious questionable products and services oftentimes leads to unemployment. If a company cannot make a profit from selling products and services the company must reduce hiring and may have to let employees go.

Governmental control or regulation may be necessary to move forward during an era of rapid scientific and technological progress in a manner tempered by rationality and respect for those who have made a contribution. Services and products offered by a plethora of dot.com start-ups shortly after the digital revolution began had questionable or dubious value to consumers. The dot.com business model often included lavish spending and excessive exorbitant over optimistic partying.

In an atmosphere of transparency, certainly individuals have to become aware of trends within markets driven by an ever increasing rate of scientific and technological returns in order to acquire education needed to make a contribution. If people cannot acquire education they need to make a positive contribution then social unrest and disorder leading to collapse of society may occur. The Morgan Stanley article entitled, Engineering the 21st Century Digital Factory, discuss modern trends in manufacturing that will (1) make manufacturing more profitable and (2) bring real value to consumers by increasing efficiency of manufacturing.

However, economic systems established by human beings should incorporate values regulating disruption in order to transcend an evolutionary process of survival of the fittest because we are more than machines.

Strangely, Albert Einstein's assertion "A person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts" is contradictory to his career as a scientist because science is concerned with cold hard facts. Cold hard facts are variables extrapolated by direct and indirect observations during a process of rigorous scientific methodology.

Motivational speaker, Vanessa Jane Patrick - Live, Love, and Give, Facebook page shared Albert Einstein's quote, "Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts."

How can the contradiction be explained? Albert Einstein has an open mind that allowed him to process multiple trajectories to derive a " theory of everything". Facts are ever changing transient variables therefore Albert Einstein attached a greater valence upon dreams or visions.

During an age of fake news and information overload people are only interested in receiving cold hard facts.

A dream is about passion or love. According to 1 Corinthians 13 - 2,

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

The contradiction in Albert Einstein's thoughts is reflective of a parity bit negation of existence in accord with quantum mechanics operating within the universe. Mankind is not suppose to exist, but God loved us so much He willed us to be in defiance of laws that He Himself established. 

We are the dream, and only love can prevent the dream from being corrupted or hacked. If we are dream, than this speaks volumes about free will and choices. Will mankind become God's nightmare? 

The famed neo psychanalyst Carl Jung felt it in his dreams and visions. In the article entitled, The Art of Dying Well: A Jungian Perspective on Death and Dying, Carl Jung shared his story about a near death experience ( NDE ).

"I had the feeling that everything was being sloughed away; everything I aimed at or wished for or thought, the whole phantasmagoria of earthly existence, fell away or was stripped from me—an extremely painful process. Nevertheless something remained; it was as if I now carried along with me everything I have ever experienced or done, everything that had happened around me. I might also say: it was with me, and I was it. I consisted of all that, so to speak. I consisted of my own history, and I felt with great certainty: this is what I am….

This experience gave me a feeling of extreme poverty, but at the same time of great fullness. There was no longer anything I wanted or desired. I existed in an objective form; I was what I had been and lived. At first the sense of annihilation predominated, or having been stripped or pillaged; but suddenly that became of no consequence. Everything seemed to be past;…There was no longer any regret that something had dropped away or been taken away. On the contrary: I had everything that I was, and that was everything".

If God Ordain the Sun to Rise Tomorrow: Can the journey of one person make a difference?

Renown motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar shared,

 "Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself".

During an age of disruption as a consequence of an accelerating rate of scientific and technological returns are we as collective society in the middle of nowhere? How will decisions made today define us as a collective society for future generations? As a collective society are we in a state of denial about overall consequences of scientific and technological progress?

Although, I don't agree with all the deductive conclusions in the article, Technological Progress and Denial, the article by Max Calabro is a very thoughtful Intelligent summation, thus worth sharing.

What does it mean? Why are we here in the middle of nowhere? People everywhere are struggling, fighting a courageous brave battle.

The problem is scientific and technological progress is moving so fast that people who are struggling cannot keep up with fast pace of change.
Can the journey of one person make a difference?

My conclusion is,

Democracy works best when barriers, blockades, obstacles to personal growth are removed and conditions that facilitate personal growth for intellectually challenged people are promoted has significant implications to healthcare reform currently debated in U.S. Senate.

It would be an easier path to deny these events are happening. In the classic movie, The Matrix, the Oracle told Neo, ' after you eat this cookie you will feel as right as rain, you will remember you don't believe in any of this mystical bullshit'.

Jonah told God, 'No, I am not going to Nineveh', and look what happened. If God allows the sun to rise tomorrow, we cannot deny events happening today. We must accept the challenge to learn and grow as individuals, and become all that God wants us to become.

Our being cast into the middle of nowhere as individuals and a collective society is a learning experience for everyone. Everyone everywhere must answer the call to learn and grow as individuals.

Individualism still matters despite efforts to move forward to become more socialist as a collective society. Deepak Chopra's book entitled,  You are the Universe: Discovering Your Cosmic Self and Why it Matters, is an affirmation of individualism during an age of socialist trends as a consequence of globalization. I wrote about individualism as related to becoming more socialist as a collective society in my freelance article entitled, Pursuit of Happiness: Redefining Meaningfulness of Foundational Documents According to Modern Times.

We have bit from the apple of the tree of life, and it is our collective fate, rather one chooses to accept it or not. And He still loves us.

What will the future bring? Will the future bring anarchy and chaos? In my article entitled, It Takes a lot of Faith to be a Generous Giving Person ,
I ask the poignant question,  how will people use their newfound freedoms? Perhaps they will use their newfound freedoms to kill each other.

The future is so promising. It is mind boggling to contemplate time saving convenience of self driving cars of the distant future driving to maintenance appointments on auto pilot.

If we chose to make life a litter easier for people to climb Abraham Maslow's heirarchiacal chart what will people do with their newfound freedom?  People may use their newfound freedom to kill each other.

Although, I do not agree with all assertions made by renown physicist , Jim Al-Khalili, especially pertaining to President Trump's stubbornness, in the Wired article entitled,  Jim Al-Khalili: 'We can no longer sit back and hope that the world will come to its senses',  I do agree 

"It is important for those voices of rationalism and reason to be heard and to be heard loudly . . . We can no longer sit back and hope that the world will come to its senses because that’s the sensible thing to do".

 Is it possible that Donald Trump, as President of the United States of America, sees the bigger picture? As pointed out in my freelance article entitled, Finding Fearless on a Long Road to Becoming a Writer: An Intelligent Driving Force in Consciousness and Conversation, wild speculations about science contributed to the financial collapse of 2008. As discussed in my freelance article:

Personally, it is troubling to me that any governing legislative body anywhere has the power and authority to make decisions overnight that has a major impact upon the lives of billions of people. If change does in fact need to be made, I would think it would be more logically sound and prudent to gradually introduce change in such a way as legislative decisions will not cause economic devastation. People work their entire lives serving others and depend upon their retirement investment savings to be there when they need it.
